The Auction-Style Free Agent Market! #

All unsigned players are available to sign new contracts with a team. Much like in the NHL, there is an auction (sometimes even a bidding war!) for each player, with a reflection period during which all GMs can submit an offer for a chance to sign the player they want.

Every team that has submitted an offer has an equal chance of signing a free agent. GMs can outbid or match ongoing offers, and once the reflection period ends, the player makes a decision.

If 5 teams are in the race, each team has a 20% chance of signing the player — except in the case of exceptional players.

Impact of Negotiation Factors #

Your negotiation factors only influence the player’s salary demand, not the probability of him signing with your team.

Signing Clauses for Type 3 Free Agents #

If Rule R7 is activated, all offers to Type 3 free agents will include a signing clause. This clause prevents the player from being bought out or placed on waivers for the current season.

How to Make Your Offers #

To place your bids, go to the CONTRACTS > PLAYERSTo make your offers, go to CONTRACTS > PLAYERS. From there, you can start negotiations with any available player.
